Description: Child Life United’s Administrative Internship program aims to support the professional growth of child life students who desire the opportunity to learn about psychosocial care globally but are unable to travel at this time. Though this experience is not direct clinical work, as an administrative intern you will be provided valuable experiences in a unique program development setting. You will be supervised by, and be learning from, Certified Child Life Specialists who work directly in the field, and who have a goal of connecting professional practices of psychosocial care providers around the world and providing valuable educational opportunities for aspiring child life specialists. It is important to acknowledge that this internship does not fulfill clinical internship requirements needed for certification. That being said, this opportunity will help strengthen your professional skill set, and will bring insight on topics currently trending, and conversations being had, within the field. Learning objectives and responsibilities:
Assist in program/project development
Assist in content research, organization, and development
Strengthen professional writing and communication skills
Logistics:
Flexible hours (20 hours a week)
Virtual work (not location specific)
Weekly supervisory meetings through video conference calls
Hours do not fulfill the ACLP’s internship requirements needed for certification
