CLU Administrative Internship

Spring 2020 has been filled. Stay tuned for Summer and Fall 2020
Description:
Child Life United’s Administrative Internship program aims to support the professional growth of child life students who desire the opportunity to learn about psychosocial care globally but are unable to travel at this time. Though this experience is not direct clinical work, as an administrative intern you will be provided valuable experiences focused on child life practice, domestically and internationally. You will be supervised by, and be learning from, Certified Child Life Specialists who work directly in the field, and who have a goal of connecting professional practices of psychosocial care providers around the world. It is important to acknowledge that this internship does not fulfill clinical internship requirements needed for certification. That being said, this opportunity will help strengthen your professional skill set, and will bring insight on topics currently trending, and conversations being had, within the field.

Learning objectives and responsibilities:
  • Assist in program/project development
  • Assist in content research, organization, and development
  • Assist in researching and contacting global psychosocial care organizations for potential partnerships
  • Strengthen professional writing and communication skills
  • Develop an understanding of child life from a global perspective
Logistics:
  • Flexible hours
  • Virtual work (not location specific)
  • Weekly supervisory meetings through video conference calls
  • Hours do not fulfill the ACLP’s internship requirements needed for certification
If you are interested in applying for Child Life United’s administrative internship or would like additional information please contact Courtney Moreland at info@childlifeunited.org. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
